Who are we?

We are a specialist consultancy providing advice and representation on the legal and technical issues in the field of public access to land.   Director Michael Wood has been described as "one of the best in the business".

We deal with public footpaths, bridleways, restricted byways and byways, together with public vehicular highways, common land and village greens, the right to roam and marine and coastal access.

What do we do?

We advise  landowners on handling claims to add rights of way across their land (modification orders) and on the possibilities of diverting and extinguishing existing rights of way that affect their land.

We deal with rights of way enforcement issues.

We represent clients before council committees and at public inquiries.

We advise, negotiate and complete complex diversion schemes in conjunction with improvements in accessibility.

Who do we work for?

We work exclusively for landowners, land managers and tenants from large estates to individual countryside house owners.

We are based in Kent but have clients from Northumberland to Cornwall, and from Norfolk to Pembrokeshire and Gwynedd. We travel widely for site visits, inquiries, hearings, meetings and conferences.

All advice is given strictly in accordance with our terms and on the basis of the prevailing fee and expense rates.

About Us

"I must say how very much my Clients and I have appreciated your skill and expertise. I shall certainly recommend you again if any of my farming or land agent clients have need in what seems to me to be an increasingly troubled climate for landowners in terms of public access and coastal access proposals."

John Gudgeon, Solicitor, Kings Lynn
